Puri is a very old city located in the eastern part of India. The city is situated adjoining the Bay of Bengal. From the beach, it is possible to see the sunset and sunrise.

As per 2001 census, the population of Puri was 157,610.

Puri has a tropical climatic condition. The climate is majorly affected by the sea. Experiencing the sea winds is very comfortable. In summer, the temperature does not cross 36 degrees Celsius and in winter the temperature does not drop down below 16 degrees Celsius.

Physicians recommend patients to visit Puri to enjoy the fresh sea side air. During the winter, the night offers a chilly climate and people wear woolen clothes.

The best time to visit Puri is during the winter season. During the monsoon season, which ranges from June to September, the weather of Puri is very humid.

The overall experience at Puri is satisfying. Although the Grand Road leading to the main temple of the town is crowded one can never fail to view the towering Jagannath Temple. The temple on its own is the most dominant attraction to visitors. As one approaches the temple complex, shops, hotels, and restaurants line both sides of the Grand road. There is a profusion of handicrafts available in shops and extended shops near the road. The Puri beach is another great attraction, where the coast line is dotted with garment shops, handicraft shops, and vending food items. On the white sandy beach handicrafts ... More are sold at bargain prices. The beach is always full of visitors as they view the seamless sea of blue water and the waves crashing into the shores touching the joyous feet of the sea bathers.

One should reserve trains and hotels from before since Puri is such an attractive place that tourists visit the place throughout the year! The visit to the Temple should be arranged earlier so that it would not become an inconvenience. A hotel near the beach is the best option to enjoy oneself while in Puri...!! Enjoy the stay and the memories would be forever!!!

Puri is a holy city of Orissa, lord jagannath temple here, world's vast area of sea beach is in Puri. People are comming from all world to see the temple and sea beach

It will pleased if Puri beach can be cleaned properly so the small kids can play around their and road to be maintained so that visitors should not face any problem.

It has many wonderful places like Puri beach, which is my fav place. This place has autos which help us to travel to places. I had never like this place in my life.
