Ozhukarai is a small village in the state of Puducherry in India. The population in the area is dense. The temperature is hot during the summers, whereas it is cool and humid during the winters. The temperature range is between 25-30 degree Celsius in summer and 10-20 degree Celsius during the winters. The cultural history of the village is very powerful. The folk dance of Ozhukarai is particularly famous and is also practiced in some other cities of Puducherry. The majority of population is Hindu. There are a number of temples in the whole village. The Kasi Viswanthar temple in Ozhukarai is a religious site for locals as well as tourists. The Tourism industry in the area is flourishing to a great extent. Tourists from all over are visiting the place to study and to see the cultural diversity in the area. There are a number of small hotels in the region.
