Tourist Guide Pondicherry:

Pondicherry, in the recent years commonly known by the name Puducherry is a Union territory which lies to the southern part of India.

The Tamil meaning of Puducherry means a new village. As being a part of the French colony the village of Puducherry is also well renowned by the name of the French Riviera of the east.

The population of Puducherry according to the 2001 India census was 973,829.

The city of Pondicherry itself is the capital of the Pondicherry state. The official language of the majority of the population is Telgu and Malayalam. Large numbers of population are also well versed with Tamil and French.

The weather of Puducherry is mostly warm throughout the year. Its average temperature ranges from 22ºC-32ºC.

The village receives a scarce amount of average annual rainfall of 130 cms.

One of the most famous Sri Aurobindo Ashram also resides in Puducherry.

Fishing is the chief occupation which is carried out on a large scale.

1. It is one of the enjoyable place, 2. It is not a costliest place and it is a small town, So easily we can go anywhere at the shortest time. 3. It is not a polluted area 4. Schools are very famous and the pondicherry university 5. The CM (Hon'ble Thiru N.Rangasammy is a Good ruling man of " Pudhucherry Assembly".

Fine place, nothing important place to visit but ok you can visit once arikamedu and asharam are fine places but careful indealing with people in the roadside. All people here are not drinkers most of them come from outside to drink.

I visit the Ashram every year. I stay at Park Guest house. Podicherry is spiritual, beautiful and should be let it eveolve naturally and should never be converted into a tourist place like Goa. Let it remain spiritual.

It is really good, there are so many place to see here, it is the best of enjoyment there is more unity. Every one should visit this place, hotels are so good. You will come again again. I like Pondicherry very much

Its a good place where all the roads and streets are very good but now a days its going down wards. Pondicherry is a very good place for vacation. Liquore is very affordable comparing to other states.

Useful area... but traffic is more.. engineering job opportunity is less... to search a company is wasting a time... only epub comapnies are available in Pondicherry.
