Amritsar is famous for the Golden Temple. Countless numbers of people visit Amritsar only for this enchanting temple. There are no specific tourists' traps or dangers for a tourist in the city.
However, some of the things must be taken care of, while traveling in the city or visiting any place. Golden Temple is a holy site that welcomes the devotees from around the globe.
Visitors must take out their shoes and socks before entering into the temples. Visitors are also asked to wash their feet at the entrance. One must cover the head with a cloth as well as dress up decently.
Drinking bottled water is better than falling pray to any disease. Visitors are often tempted to ride in rickshaws. One must always hold properly while sitting in this open vehicle.
Sudden breaks or speeding up of the vehicle may cause minor injuries to the passengers, if they don’t hold on firmly.
