The packing list changes in a limited manner depending upon which season you plan to visit the city. It gets very hot during the summer season which lasts from April to July.
One should carry sun-lotions, sunglasses and loose clothes, preferably of cotton, along with them.
If you plan to visit the place during monsoons from July to September, umbrellas, extra pair of water proof clothes and towels are a must.The winter season becomes tolerable if you have warm clothes.
The land of Punjab is known for its vibrant and energetic festivals such as Basant Panchami and Lohri.
To capture these beautiful moments a camera and/or a camcorder should also be packed.
General toiletries can be purchased from the local grocery shops, but they may be a little expensive as compared to the rates in your hometown. It is best to carry the essential stuff with you.
Mosquito crème, batteries, wet tissues and earplugs are the additional commodities one can pack with them.
