Vijay Mandir Palace

Vijay Mandir Palace that was constructed in 1918 is only 10 kilometers from Alwar. Maharaja Jai Singh had commissioned the building of this palace which has 105 rooms, a well-laid garden and a rippling lake in the front portion.

There is also a Sita Ram temple in this edifice where a large number of devotees are attracted particularly during Ramnavami. The ground floor of this palace has been converted to district courts and government offices while the upper floor is currently a museum. To visit this palace, there is a need of prior permission from the Secretary.

Jaisamand Lake

The Jaisamand Lake is situated 6 kilometers from Alwar and is the second largest artificial lake in Asia. On the banks of the lake one can view lush green valleys and hills.

Siliserh Lake and palace

The Siliserh Lake was constructed by Maharaja Vinay Singh in 1844 at a distance of 13 kilometers from Alwar. The intention was to channelize water to Alwar and this was fulfilled as the landscape of Alwar bloomed into luxurious gardens. The Maharaja named this lake in the honor of his Queen Seela and also constructed a small white palace overlooking the lake.
