Tourist Guide Bundi
Bundi is a city located in the Hatodi region of the Rajasthan state in the northwest India. It is located at a distance of 206 km from Jaipur and 36 km from Kota.
Bundi is well known for it ornate forts, beautiful palaces and stepwell reservoirs. These reservoirs are called as baoris. The magnificent Aravalli hills surround the city from three sides at a narrow gorge and the massive walls align the city by three sides.
According to the 2001 Indian census Bundi had a population of 88,313. It has average literacy rate of 67%25, which exceeds the national average literacy rate of 59.5%25.
Weather in Bundi is extreme. Summers are quite hot (April-June) and winters are cool (October-February).
Bundi is very famous for the Kajli-Teej festival. This is held in the month of July-August.
It is a must for travelers that are used to visit Bundi during this festival.
