The greatest of architectural building is undoubtedly the Chittaurgarh fort. Some consider it as the greatest medieval fort of India.
First established in the 7th-Century, it stands atop a 180-m high hill and occupies more then 700 acres of land. It boasts of multiple gateways, including prominent ones like Bhairon Pol, Padal Pol, Ram Pol and Hanuman Pol.
There are a number of tablets and chattris inside the complex, which exemplify the courageous and heroic Rajputs.
The fort also contains magnificent monuments like Vijay Stambha, Rana Kumbha, Meera temple, Mahasati, Tulja Mata Temple and many more.
The ancient ruins of this grand complex silently describe the grandeur and pride of the bygone era.
