The City Palace of Jaipur was constructed by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh and his succeeding rulers. In the first square one can view Mubarak Mahal which was constructed in the 19th century by Sawai Madho Singh to entertain the guests.

Currently, one may find the costume gallery that exhibits the royal attires of the Kings at first square. After the first square, one can see the Diwan-I-Khas, which is a hall for private audience that has two sterling vessels that are regarded as the largest silver vessel in the world.

There is also Diwan-I-Aam that was created for public audiences and currently is an art gallery that has rare ancient manuscripts of Hinduism and painted ceilings.

The Maharani’s Palace was constructed for the royal queens and currently is a museum that exhibits weapons that date back to the 15th century. Chandra Mahal has seven stories each of a different name.

The topmost storey, the Mukut Mahal has floral decorations, mirror work on walls and delicate paintings
