The Palace of Winds or Hawa Mahal is a palace in Jaipur in India. Built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799, this monument was designed by Lal Chand Usta in the form of the crown of Krishna, the Hindu God. Built of red and pink sandstone, it is a significant landmark of Jaipur, the Pink City of India. The best time to visit is sunrise when it catches the early morning sunrays and is bathed in its golden light glowing like a gem.
