The Albert Hall Museum or the Central Museum is located in the Ram Niwas Garden in Jaipur. This was constructed in 1868 by Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh II as a relief project for his subjects that were struck by famine.

This hall is a good illustration of Indo-Saracenic type of architecture and is modeled as per the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

The Albert Hall Museum is used to exhibit the art and culture of Rajasthan and portray the morality of Rajputs by stating that a Rajput would risk his life if he is coerced to renounce his faith or his lands are confiscated or the Rajput women are pestered.

In this hall there is a collection of paintings, sculptures, miniature portraits, decorative wares, metalware, an Egyptian mummy and natural history specimens dated back from the history.

The village life of Rajasthan is shown through woodwork, brassware, pottery and costumes. The Durbar Hall, which is generally locked, houses the impressive Persian garden carpet that was created in Persia in 1632 and is one of the finest art treasures of India.

The preferred timings to visit this place are 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. The admission fee is 0.12 USD (INR 5) for Indian citizens and 0.71 USD (INR 30) for foreigners. Photography is strictly prohibited in this place.
