The Kanak Vrindavan Garden is located in the jungle-clad foothills of the Nahagarh Hills in the pleasant green oasis of Kanak valley. The quietude and sanctity of the Kanak valley is couple with historical importance as the valley was the holy site to perform Ashwamedha Yagna (prayer before starting a battle).
Raja Sawai Jai Singh was completely impressed by the breathtaking beauty of the garden and though that it was comparable with Lord Krishna’s Vrindavan and hence coined the name as Kanak Vrindavan Garden.
During the Gangaur and Teej festivals of Rajasthan this garden is a famous tourist spot. The hymns from the closely located shrines of Natawarji and Govind Deoji add to the divine beauty of the garden.
As this garden has carefully manicured landscaped lawns which have beautiful fountains and serene lakes, it has become a very famous picnic spot and site for shooting of films. Here, one can also see an ornate beige stone temple that has grandiose marble columns and exquisite lattice windows.
