Some of the major attractions at the principal street are the Hawa Mahal built centuries ago. This is a pyramid shaped palace completely in pink sandstone and there are many perforated stone screens dotting its façade. At present, this street has lots of shops, markets and wide drive ways. The principal entrance to the City Palace and the Museum at the principal street is the Sirh Deorhi Aatish gate which is known as the auxiliary gate.
