Overview to visit Jaipur at its best
Jaipur, with its culture and wide array of historical monuments, is a haven for its foreign tourists. Ancient forts like the Nahargarh Fort, Amber Fort and Jaigarh Fort surround the city.
The City Palace located in the heart of Jaipur is one of the magnificent sights. Hawa Mahal, known as the signature monument of Jaipur, is one of the best examples of Rajput architecture. While vacationing in Jaipur, be sure to visit Jantar Mantar, one of the observatories of India. Holi and Diwali are the main religious festivals.
While visiting Jaipur, make sure to try some of the traditional Rajasthani food, especially ghewar, a desert, along with some traditional folk performances.
Jaipur is home to a large number of traditional fairs and festivals. The Ganguar festival celebrated by the womenfolk is one of the most important festivals of Jaipur. The Elephant festival, the annual event of Jaipur, is celebrated with dance, music and processions.
