Jodhpur, the well-liked visitor’s destination is the second largest city in the state of Rajasthan in India.

The city is extremely famous for its marvelous temples. It is also well-known for its magnificent palaces and forts.

Jodhpur is the city which is well recognized by the name the “Sun City”. Typically the climate of Jodhpur is very warm and dry. Though it receives a considerable amount of rainfall. At night the city is quiet pleasant as compared to the day.

The city is elevated at a height of 232 m above sea level. According to 2001 India census people inhabited in Jodhpur were 846,408.

The main inhabitants of the city were the Oswal Jains. The economy of Jodhpur chiefly depends on the handicraft industry.

Tourism also plays a vital role in the growth of the economy of the city. One more occupation that is carried on a large scale is mining.
