The Mehrangarh Fort is a most important place to visit in Jodhpur. It was built by the Rathore Rajputs in the 15th century AD when they shifted from Mandore to Jodhpur. At present, the part of the fort has been converted to a museum, managed by the Royal Trust. Some of the important buildings within the fort are historic palaces like the Moti Mahal, Chandan Mahal, Janaki Mahal and many such beautiful palaces.
