Mount Abu is situated in South-West Rajasthan at a distance of 185 kilometers from Udaipur and 264 kilometers from Jodhpur.
This city has a pleasant weather throughout the year and receives an average yearly rainfall of 650 to 1770 millimeters. During summer the temperature varies from 23 to 34 degrees Celsius and in winter varies from 11 to 28 degrees Celsius.
As per the census of 2001, the population of Mount Abu was 22045.
In western India, amongst the Aravalli range, Mount Abu is the highest peak. This peak forms a distinguishable plateau that is 22 kilometers in length and 9 kilometers in width.
Mount Abu is the singular hill station in Rajasthan and it is situated at a height of 1220 meters. It is also called as ‘an oasis in the desert’ as there are several evergreen forests, waterfalls, lakes and rivers.
