Srinathji Temple

The Srinathji Temple that has been constructed in the 18th century is situated 48 kilometers from Udaipur and is regarded as one of the richest temples in India that is dedicated to Lord Srinathji who is a form of Lord Krishna.

This temple is opened eight times in a day to facilitate devotees to offer their prayers. The temple comprises of several courtyards out of which the ‘Haveli’ is the optimum place to view the architecture and art of Rajasthan.

The main deity in the sanctum is dressed with ornate clothes and treasured jewelry. There are about 1000 employees that serve the temple. The allied businesses of the temple enable many local people to earn their livelihood.

Tourists can view the gorgeous clothes, the wall hangings, the rich paintings and the delicate carvings present in this temple. The doorways of this temple have the drawings of horses, elephants and maidens that are very impressive.
