When to visit
Rajasthan is dominated by dry and hot climate year round, though there is not one favorable time to visit this place. The daytime and nighttime variations highly varies, which means the days can be very hot and the nights are cold. The best time to visit Rajasthan is after the monsoon months, with the best month to travel being from mid October to mid March. This is the precise time when fairs are held.
If you travel in the dry and hot summer, you need to wear loose comfortable cotton or linen clothes, use sunglasses and sunscreen lotion too.
Winters are sunny days and pleasant cool nights, where one can wear light warm clothing. The warm bright days of October to March are ideal for sightseeing and also for traveling around in this state. The good preferable weather is from September, when evenings are pleasant, and one can go out for shopping, with visiting wildlife sanctuaries early mornings.
