The Kanyakumari Beach is an attractive beach on the southernmost tip of India at Cape Comorin where one can view the convergence of the Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean all in one to form a huge water body to surround this important pilgrimage place from all 3 sides.
People come here especially to view the beautiful sunset and sunrise and the lighthouse which offers some delightful views of the surrounding scenery. However the seashore is rocky and not suitable for swimming.
The Vivekananda Rock Memorial in the sea can be visited by taking a ferry and is the major attraction here visited by many. The huge statue of the great saint Vivekananda can be observed from the beach as well.
The beach has derived its name from the Kanyakumari temple situated near the beach. The other attraction near the beach is the Gandhi Memorial.
