Thiruvanmiyur Beach is situated in the south in Chennai in Tamil Nadu and is an upcoming tourist place. The beach is a popular hang out place with youngsters and college going people.
The beach stretches one kilometer to the east coast road which leads to Mahabalipuram and the Arabindo Ashram in Pondicherry. One can come to the beach to watch the sunrise early in the morning or the sunset late in the evening.
There are several places of attractions in the area such as the Marundeeswarar Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, Kalakshetra a popular cultural development center, the Tidel Park or IT park, the Theyagaraja and Jayanthi theaters on LB road and more.
The Italian and Indian restaurants near the beach add to the attraction for visitors who come to the beach. The beach is easily accessible by the Metropolitan Transport Corporation buses which has an extensive bus terminal.
