The Madras High Court is one of the landmarks of Chennai in India and is the second largest judicial complex in the world. Situated near to the beach, it was established in 1862. It is one of the three high courts of India, the other two being at Calcutta and Bombay. It was built in the Indo-Saracenic style of architecture with effect from a Letters Patent granted by Her Majesty, Queen Victoria.
