The AVM studio is the oldest and the largest film production studios in Kollywood. Presently owned by M. Saravanan and his son, M. S. Guhan, it was founded in 1945 by A.V. Meiyappan. This studio houses a museum apart from being an institution producing great movies and some great talented people. Other than movies, the studio produces Television serials. The museum houses historic movie premiers, photos and films of the past blockbusters movies and photos of actors.
