Kanyakumari also called as Cape Comorin is situated at the southernmost tip of the Indian peninsula where three oceans namely the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal meet.
Kanyakumari is located in the state of Tamil Nadu and towards its north and east is the Tirunelveli District while towards the west and North-West is the Kerala state.
Kanyakumari has hot climate from April to June with the maximum temperature of 35 degrees Celsius and cool climate from November to February with temperature around 21 degrees Celsius while the annual rainfall is 1188.6 mm.
As per the census of 2001, the population of Kanyakumari is 19,678.
