The Thirumalai Nayak palace is a 400 year old structure built by a king named Thirumalai in the city of Madurai. The palace was designed by Italian architects, the architecture of this is a combination of Islamic, Dravidian and European styles. The main building shows the place where the king actually lived. The palace is just at a jumping distance of 2km from the famous Meenakshi Temple.
