Madurai: Attractions and more...
The city is very attractive for tourists with its temples, street markets,
shops and restaurants. The temples, important pilgrimage centre, represent for
the Hindus their religious and cultural life.
Another caracteristic place to visit in Madurai is the Gandhi Museum, where
you can find rare living memories of “ather of India” and a carefully
drawn up historical report of India’s fight for independence.
Madurai has a tropical climate interested by monsoons. Usually monsoons changes
direction every 6 months creating one dry and one humid season. The average
temperature goes between 20°C and 28°C, the hottest month is May and
the coolest one is January.
