Rose Garden
The Rose Garden is located about 3 to 4 kilometers from the Charring Cross and is spread over an area of 20 hectares where some 2000 rose specimens can be seen.
Ooty Lake
The Ooty Lake is an artificial lake that has been constructed in 1824 by John Sullivan who played a prominent role in developing the town of Ooty.
Stone House
The Stone House has been constructed by John Sullivan and here the offices of the Government Arts College exist. The interior of this house is not open to the public however the exteriors are an evidence of the imposing feature of colonial architecture.
Ooty Botanical Garden
The Ooty Botanical Garden is spread over an area of 22 hectares and houses 650 varied species of plants of which some are of Italian and Japanese origin while others are indigenous and include rare flowering plants and roses. The highlight of this garden is a fossilized tree trunk that is considered to be more than 20 million years old.
Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park
The Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park are located where the Eastern ghats meet the Western Ghats and here several native species roam freely of which some are easy to spot while others require some patience.
