Tourist Guide Tirupur:

Tirupur located in Tamil Nadu close to Coimbatore has several names like ‘History Centre’, ‘Cotton City’, ‘Knit City’ and ‘Dollar city.’

This city is the ‘Knitwear capital of India’ for several decades now and the exports from this city have crossed the Rs. 120 billion mark.

The altitude of this place is 295 meters and it is 495 kilometers towards the South-West of Chennai the capital city of Tamil Nadu.

The climate of Tirupur is generally warm. The Noyyal River divides the city into the north and south halves and very close to the railway station one can see the Tirupur Kumaran memorial statue.

‘Khaderpet’ is a wholesale market in Tirupur meant for the export rejected banians and for local pieces.

As per the census of 2001, the population of Tirupur was 0.346 million.

The one of the buisiest cities in tamilnadu, which well known round the globe for its knitewear production. The products manufactured here sold najorly to United States and Europe. The city also has played promineant part by way of tirupur kumarans efforts in our freedom fight. Mostly the people are very well behaved and humble to all.

Not boring, not funny, it's ok. Best for business and trading people. There is nobody without a job in Tirupur. There are many ways to earn money there. Even a low level employee earns minimilyum Rs.5oo per day. It's a best place to earn and lead your family happilly.

All can run their life without any problem. Hard workers will develop shortly. Only in the entertainment aspects developments should be done. Economically people are sound but ethically not that much. Intellectual level also can be increased.

ITS A NICE PLACE. BUSIEST CITY. SAFETY IS IN OUR HANDS WHEREVER U GO. TRANSPORTATION IS GOOD. VERY RESPECTFUL PEOPLE. THE SLANG IS NICE (KONGU TAMIL) ITS VERY NICE TO ROAM AT NIGHT. SHOPPING MALL POPCORN PANIPURI LOT ANDLOT MORE TO ENJOY.

Tirupur is an industrial town. Anyone can easily live in Tirupur. Many baniyan and exporting companies are placed in Tirupur. Lot of other state people are living in Tirupur for their survival. Anyone can get a job easily.

Tirupur is actually a nice place... but we have to be very careful with the ppl behaviour because of the lot of companies... education level have to be improved!!! nice place :) ... jai tirupur!!!

Tirupur has to become safe because there are more theft today and not respect the traffic rules. There you can see the everywere ugly places
