When to visit
Tamil Nadu is a beautiful tourist destination, with clear skies and blue beaches. The best time to visit Tamil Nadu is during the months of October to February, when the climate is pleasant. With tropical climate, this state is the most unbearably hot in April, May and June. It is coolest in December and in January.
Tamil Nadu has tremendously hot summers with moderate winters. Throughout the year, one can expect rainfall, which adds to the sea breezes, moisture laden and a relief from the hot summer months from April to June.
This state is amidst two major water bodies, the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean. The ideal time to visit Tamil Nadu is between July-September and January to March. Festivals play a vital role as well, so one can visit the state during these events like Pongal festival and the classical Carnatic music show in January and Dussehra in September.
