When in Agartala, tourists can admire the Ujjayanta Palace, built by Maharaja Radha Kishore Manikya in 1899-1901. It is one of the main attractions of this capital. The Tribal Museum, Laxminarayan Temple, Gedu Mian Mosque, Handicrafts designing centre, Portuguese church are a few hot spots a tourist must not miss. The Tripura Sundari Temple also known as Matabari is one of the most popular attractions of the city of Udaipur. Apart from this there is the Gunabati group of Temples, the Bhuvaneswari temple etc which are a must see. With an area of 41 sq.km and approximately 48 islands in her midst, tranquil lake of Dumboor Lake stands calm, surrounded completely by lush green vegetation. Water sports and migratory birds are an added attraction for the tourist. Covering an area of 5.3 sq.km water area, the Rudrasagar Lake surrounds the famous lake palace of Tripura called as Neermahal. Boat racing is an all time favorite in this lake which is generally held in the month of July/August on availability of reasonable boating facilities.
