Tourist Guide Indranagar
Indranagar is located in the West Tripura district in India. According to the census made in 2001, the population is calculated as 17, 679. The percentage of population of men is higher than that of women. The population of male is 51% and that of female is 49%. The percentage of male literacy of Indranagar is 82% and that of women is 72%. Indranagar Panchayat has been declared by the department of fisheries as the “model village for fish cultivation”. According to the survey, this Panchayat has a number of 111 water bodies and 15 hectares of area is under water. The Industrial Training Institute in Indranagar was started in the year 1959 so as to supply skilled hands in the areas of automobile, civil, electrical and mechanical engineering so as to meet the necessities of the state and the local industry. Currently there are 16 trades and 248 approved admissions every year.
