Kailashahar is well connected to the rest of India and through the roadways. There is also an airport in this town which can enable the tourists to travel to and fro the town. One can visit the Buddha Vihar shrine which is small in size and preserves some of the most beautiful metal idols of Lord Buddha and Bodhisatva, the idols which are Burmese in origin. Here, Buddha Jayanti is celebrated on the Buddha Purnima Day.
Then there is the State Museum which has preserves like some rare images, numismatic evidences, epigraphs that show the glorious past of Tripura and some adjacent states. There are also numerous palaces in different locations in Tripura. Some of the palaces provide a glimpse of the royal way pf living, their past history and many more.
This includes the Ujjayanta Palace, Kunjaban Palace, Malancha Niwas, Neermahal and many more. There are frequent guided visits to these places where the tourists get attracted to the architectural style of the palaces. These places are near Bhagaban Nagar which is beside Kailashahar Dharmanagar road. It is approximately 7-8 km from kailashahar.
