The Ujjayantha Palace, Malancha Palace and others show the royal past of the princely state. Another important tourist spot of Tripura is that it has got attractive stone images and rock cut carvings at Debtamura, Unakoti and Pilak. These huge size carvings are made on vertical walls, which are exposed openly. Festivals whether it be tribal or non-tribal all people take part in all festivals. Kharchi Puja celebrated in July is one of the most important festivals in the State. This celebration continues for a week and thousands of devotees take part in this celebration. “Ker and Garia Pujas” is a traditional tribal festival which is celebrated 14 days after Kharchi Puja. Another festival of much importance is the Durga Pooja, Diwali and Vijayadashami.
