Tourist Guide Agra:

Agra is an ancient city in Uttar Pradesh, India. It is situated on the banks of the river Yamuna. It is the third largest city in Uttar Pradesh with a population of over 1,200,000 residents. Agra is a renowned tourist destination owing to various impressive Mughal constructions.

Agra is typified by a tropical climate. The climate is largely prone to extremes with summers being hot and humid, and winters being rather cold. Rainy season extends from June to September with rainfall ranging between moderate and high.

Agra was founded by Sikandar Lodi in 1506. Earlier, the city was under the Mughals, and thereafter, the British. Today, Agra’s economy is primarily based on tourism, small scale industries, trade and agriculture.
