Sikandra is a beautiful mausoleum which was built by the Mughal Emperor, Akbar who reigned from 1556 to 1605. He actually planned his own tomb, selecting the site, which he considered as the most appropriate site and commenced its construction. With a combination of red sandstone and marble, the historic building is worth visiting. Located mere four kilometers from Agra, it can be reached within a short span of time.
