Varanasi is commonly known as Benaras and is a city which is situated on the left side of the Ganga River in Uttar Pradesh. It is the neighboring city of Agra. This city is mostly regarded as holy by the Jains, Hindus and the Buddhists. Moreover, this city is considered as one of the oldest continually inhabited cities in the world.
