The Asafi Imambara in Lucknow is also called as the Bara Imambara. Along with this structure, the Chhota Imambara, Shah Najaf and the Residency are some of the noteworthy monuments.

The extremely popular “Bhul Bhulaiyan” or the Labyrinth is also a part of the Asafi Imambara. Some other places of interest are the Ram Krishna Math, Planetarium, Ambedkar memorial, Dilkusha, Shaheed Smarak, State Museum or Lucknow Zoo, Chattar Manzil and the Picture Gallery.

Lucknow is also plenty of British built sites. The Charbagh Railway Station has some of the distinctive pillars, arches and domes. This is built by the British.

Some other architectural complexes in Lucknow that have been built by the British are the Clock Tower and State Legislative Assembly.

Lucknow is also the home of some of the oldest schools in India. Some of the noteworthy schools are Colvin Taluqdar’s College and the La Martiniere Lucknow.

There are also several well-kept parks in Lucknow that entice the crowds on weekends, holidays and evenings. Some of these are Lohia park, the Ambedkar Memorial, Aurobindo park, Swarn Jayanti park, Globe park, Begum Hazrat Mahal park and the Dilkusha park.
