Moving around in Varanasi is not at all a problem due to the abundance of auto rickshaws and cycle rickshaws. Transport is possible over the Ganga in the form of small boats and steamers. Mini-buses are common in the outskirts of the city. The city had only one small road previously but now is renovated and called as the ‘Grant Trunk Road’. The traffic in the city is very slow paced and can be irritating.
