Famous for its Basmati rice, the capital Dehradun has a number of tourist attractions namely Gularghati in which only males are allowed, the Buddha Temple and park
Clementown, Maldevta, the Malsi Deer park, the Robber’s Cave, The Santhla Devi are other attractions which surrounds the entire city.
Nainital is a new structure of the Naina Devi Temple, the old one which was destroyed in the landslip of 1880.
Apart from that, the church of St. John in the wilderness, the government house are other old architectural sites built in gothic style which are a must see.
Other spots are the snow view, Naina peak, Tiffin top and the Gurney house which was the earlier residence of Jim Corbett which is a museum of Corbett memorabilia at present.
Also referred to as the ‘queen of the hills’, the hill station Mussoorie is located at the foot hills of the Himalayas. Camel’s back road, Gun hill, St. Mary’s church, kempty falls, Company Garden are popular spots amongst tourists.
Finally, Jim Corbett National park is considered to be India’s oldest national park : it contains a wide assortment of wildlife inclusive of more that 600 species of birds.
