Kempty Falls
One of the most sought after destinations in Mussoorie are the Kempty falls also termed as the ‘star attraction’. The water splits into 5 streams on falling from the height of 4500 feets where it hits the boulders and stones. Vis a vis other smaller falls which are situated at the higher elevation the bigger one can be found at a lower height. It is a great experience to see the falls lined with trees and cliffs.
Mussoorie Lake
The Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority has lately built up the Mussoorie Lake as a tourist attraction. It is located at a distance of 6 kilometers on the road from Dehradun to Mussoorie. Some of the activities that the tourists can enjoy here are boating in the many available paddle boats in and around the lake and serves as a beautiful picnic spot as well as pit stop for locals as well tourists. The small restaurants located here serve delicious food as well as take in the environs of the beautiful lake.
Lal Tibba
The uppermost part of the Mussoorie the Lal Tibba is the most beautiful places one can visit in the areas near Mussoorie. One must consider the horseback ride to the peak in order to witness and admire the beauty of the place. There are few old structures which are sure to take visitors back to the splendor of British era. Tourist can observe scenes of Banderpunch, Badrinath and Kedarnath as well as other ranges in Himalaya through the telescope placed at this point.
