Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport is situated in Dum Dum nearby Kolkata in West Bengal, India. It is about seventeen-km from the city center.
It offers 2 parallel runways: 01/19 L/R. 01R/19L is the longer one which is utilized for landings and takeoffs, whereas the other one is used as a taxiway.
It contains 3 terminals, like most of the other airports in the country: Domestic terminal, International Terminal and a Cargo Terminal.
Renovation work has been done in the airport recently, making it one of the better looking airports of the country. A fourth terminal is expected to get added.

The domestic flights are operated by major companies like Air India, Jet Airways, Kingfisher Airlines and Spice Jet.
International Airlines like Gulf Air, British Airways, Emirates Airlines, Singapore Airlines and Thai Airways International provide regular flights from here.
Blue Dart aviation and Lufthansa Cargo, amongst others, provide the cargo flights.
