The Boi Para or College Street is a narrow road between M.G. Road and Bowbazar road, in Kolkata, West Bengal.
There is a tram line (mini rail-like public transport) which runs right through the middle of the road and there are thousands of makeshift bookstalls on both sides of the road. These stalls are made of bamboo, wood, canvas or corrugated-tin sheets.
In the neighborhood, some of the city’s most-renowned academic institutions are located, such as Kolkata University, Presidency College, the Sanskrit College and Kolkata Medical College.
