The Pareshnath Jain Temple is situated towards the north-east of Kolkata. The visiting hours are from 6 am to 11 am and 3 pm to 7 pm on all the days. This temple is adorned with mosaics made of glass, colored stones and mirrors.
Around the temple is a beautiful garden. There are European icons painted with silver paint and blocks of glass mosaics. This temple is a complex of four temples.
The main shrine is of the tenth Jain avatar (incarnation of God) Sri Sital Nath Ji. Here, there exists a small stream that has a wide variety of flowers which offer a heavenly feel.
Towards the north of the temple is a museum and greeting room. Thirteen marble stairs lead to the verandah. This temple has a lamp that burns with ghee (a type of clarified butter) and never blows out.
Towards the south of the main shrine, there exists a temple of Sri Chanda Prabhujidev. Towards the right, there is another temple dedicated to Kushalji Maharaj and Dadaji Garu.
The fourth temple is where Lord Mahavira is worshipped.
