The Paresnath Jain Temple is located in the north-east region of Kolkata. It is open on all days of the year from 6 am to 11 am and 3 pm to 7 pm. This is a beautiful collection of mirrors, glass mosaic and colored stones.
This temple also has a beautiful garden. In 1867, Roy Badridas Bahadur constructed this temple. The prime temple is of the tenth Jain incarnation of God called as Sri Sital Nath Ji.
The gateway of this temple is a very pleasant scenario. In this temple, a lamp burns along with ghee (a type of clarified butter) and this is always burning for all 24 hours. Towards the south of this temple, is the temple of Sri Chanda Prabhudevji, which was built in 1895 by Ganeshlal Kapoorchand Jahar.
Towards the right is another temple where Kushalji Maharaj and Dadaji Guru are worshipped. One more temple is towards the north where the last guru of the Jains, Mahavira is worshipped.
The temples have marble floors of floral design, windows made of stained glass and mirror-inlay pillars.
