Salt Lake City is a popular name given to Bidhannagar as this city was built on a reclaimed salt water lake. This city is a planned satellite township in West Bengal, India. Developed between 1958 and 1965, it is now a hub of social and economic expansion. It is popular as the center for IT in Calcutta. Now, called as Kolkata, the Salt Lake City is a must visit place. Whilst in this neighborhood, one can visit the shopping malls like the City Center, the Nicco Park, Central Park and many more interesting places.
