The Bali Museum provides a lot of information regarding the Balinese society belonging to varying eras. The ancient tools used by Balinese people some centuries back and several artifacts are exhibited here. The exhibition is so systematic that the tourist follows the serial of the Balinese society story. The remains of several Bali Kings are also displayed.
Badung Market
Those who wish to experience the genuine ambience of bargaining of the Balinese traditional market should pay a visit to the Badung Market. This is located at Gajah Mada Street. Here, one can find a large range of meat, fruits, vegetables and several needs of the kitchen. At 2:00, one can view several mini trucks and pick-up cars supplying the goods, some people carrying these goods to the stalls and the sellers readying their items for sale. The hottest time to buy these goods is early in the morning.
Sanur
Sanur is located towards the east of Denpasar and here the peaceful water extends endlessly and the white sandy beaches have a gentle curve. There are many International Standard hotels on the shore like Hotel Sindu Beach, Sanur Beach Hotel, Hotel Hyatt and the Grand Bali Beach. There are many stalls and stores where souvenirs like kites and carvings, handwoven ikat fabrics and clothing are sold.
Taman Werdi Budaya Art Center
At the Taman Werdi Budaya Art Center, a Balinese and Indonesian permanent fine-art exhibition can be seen everyday from 7:00 to 15:30. In this museum, one can view wooden carvings, masks and modern paintings as well as small handicraft shops.
