Lovina Beach
Lovina Beach is to the west of Singaraja which is the capital of North Bali. Along the 8km stretch of this tranquil black sand beach lie the coastal villages of Temukus, Anturan, Kalibukbuk, Kaliasem and Tukad Mungga.
The Menjangan Island is an hour’s drive from Lovina and can be reached by a thirty minute boat ride. One can enjoy watching the dolphins here or snorkeling among the coral reefs and fish in the clear and sparkling water of the sea.
Hundreds of dolphins can be seen early in the morning around one kilometer from the shore. The other nearby attractions includes the Gigit waterfall, the hot water springs of Banjar, the Wihara Buddha and more.
The area near the beach provides a host of hotel accommodations to suit the needs of leisure as well as budget travelers. The spas, boutique holiday cottages and family bungalows provide a nice retreat amidst the natural surroundings of the beach to experience the peace and tranquility of the place.
