Medewi Beach lies in Medewi in the Jembrana district in Bali. The Medewi Beach is best for early morning surfing but not suitable for sunbathing and surfing.
However, the waves of the ocean can get rough in the month of August when even the fishermen from the villages do not risk venturing out at sea.
The local people make their living from the fishing opportunity provided here off the black sand beaches of Medewi and fish out giant size prawns to be served as a local delicacy.
There are several restaurants, hotels and homestays in close proximity from the beach which provide excellent accommodation for families as well as singles. This cool and pleasant place offers spectacular views of the sunset from the beach and is in no hurry of becoming a hot spot.
The Medewi Beach cottages have all modern amenities and facilities along with traditional dance performances on weekends to make your stay memorable.
