Maimun Palace, better known as Maimoon Palace, can be referred to as a reputable landmark in Medan. Constructed by Sultan of Deli, i.e. Sultan Makmun Al Rasyid Perkasa Alamsyah in the year 1888, this palace goes on to cover 2772 sq. m. Moreover, it houses 30 rooms. The interior design on its part has made this palace a tourist attraction. One would get the feel of mixture of Malayan, Spanish, Islamic, Italian, and Indian style.
Lake Toba
Lake Toba can be described as heart of ‘Batak country’. It’s the biggest lake all over Southeast Asia. The suface area is around 1145 sq. Km. The other fact is that Lake Toba is the lake having the greatest depth; i.e. around 450 meters. The activities which can be pursued over here include water-skiing, swimming, motor boating, golf, and fishing. The surrounding area has a dry and cool climate.
