Tourist Guide Ahvaz
The city of Ahvaz is located in the Southwestern region of Iran. The city comes under the province of Khuzestan. Ahvaz is the capital city of Iran. Ahvaz has a total area of about 419.6 square kilometers which is huge. Being located in the southwestern region of Iraq the weather in this city is usually hot through out the year with very short winters. The minimum temperature recorded here is about 21 degrees Celsius in January and February which is the winter period and the regular temperature in this region is around 40 to 55 degrees Celsius in the month of March which is the summer period. As the city is located close to, a huge water mass, namely, The Karun River, rainfall is high in this city in the months of June to August. Even though the city is big in size, it comprises of beautiful landscapes. It is a developed city with most of the population employed. The population dwelling in the city of Ahvaz is counted out to be around 13, 38,126 people according to the 2001 census. The population density is very high in this city.
